Mommy & Me - Spring Inspiration Shoot

Last week I teamed up with Poppy & Olives Vintage Rentals to put together this gorgeous Spring Styled shoot!  Little Miss Essie turned 3 last month and her mom and I came up with a fun inspiration concept for their session.  Being that baby #2 is due to arrive this summer, we turned this shoot into a Mommy & Me session.

What To Wear - Old Navy

I've had requests to put together style inspiration boards for family sessions, preferably "one stop shop" inspiration.  

Today's What To Wear post features items solely from Old Navy.  I decided to go with some neutral tones to start things off.  There are a few items here and there that I didn't particularly love, but due to limited selection on things like kids shoes or belts, I had to work with what Old Navy offered!

Moms Look: $110

Like I said - I know these looks aren't perfect and could use a better shoe (etc.) here and there… but hopefully this gives you an idea of how you can plan and coordinate outfits for family sessions! 

Evening at the Park - Des Moines Family Photographer

Last weekend we went to the park with some friends and played with all their little munchkins.  As the sun was setting the light was absolutely gorgeous, so I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to photograph this little gal.  Sweet little Mila is such a doll and has the cutest smile! :)  See for yourself!
